Well done to our U15s who won their final group game in the B championship this morning by defeating Scariff-Ogonnelloe 4-18 to 3-12. Our U15s Academy team have earned a place in the county final against Eire Og next Saturday 12 October starting at 10:45am in Clonlara. All club support would be appreciated and there will be details coming soon about finals for their teammates on the U15s.
Our Junior As did not fare as well, and were defeated in their quarterfinal by just a point last evening by a very strong Scariff side in extra time. The final score was 1-17 to 1-16, which means that the season has ended earlier than we would've wished for two of our adult club teams. Thanks to all the lads on the panel who wore the jersey for Clonlara and who put in powerful performances in the group stage. A special thanks to Junior A management and selectors Pa O'Hare, Seamus Hogg, Wayne Kennedy and Neil Ryan with Kate Ryan and Mary Moriarty on first aid. It's worth remembering that all of these people are volunteers and solid club people who have committed to their team since the early months of the year, in all kinds of weather, giving their time and talent to the game of hurling in Clonlara.
Best of luck to our Junior Bs who battle the Bridge in the wind and rain this afternoon in Meelick, and to our Junior Cs who face Clooney-Quin in the Mills on Sunday 6/10 at 12noon. Tickets available here: https://eventlist.store/claregaa/tickets
